Passage: Luke 9:28-36

Summary:

Imagine being the child of the CEO of a large company. One day, Dad calls together a company meeting and tells everyone, this is my son, listen to him. There is a new weight of the responsibility of the whole company on your shoulders, but there is an affirmation that the things you have done have been pleasing to dear old Dad and that he wants you to continue. This pales in comparison to God saying, “This is my Son, My Beloved. Listen to Him,” but it begins to evoke some of the power of that experience of Jesus meeting with Moses, Elijah AND GOD! Pastor Anna digs into this verse and reminds us of the call for all those who listen to Jesus.
